Just a reminder to everyone that your team has to be roster compliant by noon Eastern on January 9, 2021.
This means all of your pro players must be brought up to your roster on Yahoo, traded or dropped outright.
Please note that if you have a player on IR or IR+, this player will not count towards your roster total; in other words, you can exceed your maximum of 46 players by how many players you have on IR+. For example, if you have 2 players on IR+, your maximum roster size is 48 players - this is the same as what we do all season.
Everyone should note that some players that are on IR or LTIR are no longer reflected as Out (O) by Yahoo. Yahoo goes by their stat provider, which I believe is Rotoworld, who goes by whatever information they get from the NHL. Tarasenko, Kucherov, Bishop, Stalock, Nilsson, Lundqvist, Nyquist and Zuccarello are examples of players that are currently out long term, but their status on Yahoo is currently NA.
If Yahoo doesn't update these players by the start of the season, we'll do like we've done in previous years. If you have a player that is out long term and you didn't place him on IR+, you will be able to drop that player from your roster and pick up another player. You will retain the rights to that player until their status changes or they become rostered on their respective NHL team.
The only caveat with this is that any obviously injured player whose status is NA that you dropped will mean you have 1 less IR+ spot you can fill on Yahoo. For example, Kucherov is currently listed as NA, so if Andrew wants to drop him from his Yahoo roster, he can; however, he can only then use 1 IR and 2 IR+ spots for his team as Bishop should've been using 1 of these IR+ spots.
If anyone has any questions, drop me or any of the co-commissoners a line.
