During last week's match between San Jose and Edmonton, Andrew inadvertently made a 3rd free agent acquisition by adding Gustav Lindstrom to his roster. Our rules state that each GM is limited to 2 FA acquisitions per week.
Lindstrom made 3 blocks in Sunday's game, which allowed Andrew's team to win the blocks category. Had he not made the acquistion or if I had reversed it in time, Edmonton would have won the weekly match 7-4 instead of 6-5.
I contacted Yahoo but was told that they cannot do anything to change the stats that Lindstrom gained in Sunday's game.
In all likelihood, the extra 2 points that the Sharks gained won't have any affect on our standings at the end of the year; potentially, though, it could make the difference in a playoff berth or in the payout for the top 2 teams in the division at the end of our regular season.
Unfortunately, if these 2 points do affect whether either team makes/doesn't make the playoffs, there is nothing we can do.
For the purposes of paying out any money for first or second overall in the division at the end of our regular season, 2 points will be added to Edmonton's total and 2 points will be deducted from San Jose's total prior to any money being awarded.
If anyone has any ideas about any other possible solution that we should consider, please contact any of the commissioners on WhatsApp.
